It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Cochrane Ross on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Husband for nearly 63 years to Norma (nee Collings) of Grand Bay-Westfield, known as Don to his wife and Donnie to his friends. He was born in Browns Flat on June 20, 1937, son of the late Marjorie Carlin (formerly Ritchie, nee Cochrane) and stepson of the late Donald Ritchie.
Don loved cars, the faster the better! Driving one or working on one was his happy place. Using this life long passion he always worked either repairing vehicles or driving one. He worked at Battery and Electric (now known as Autotec), drove long haul tractor trailers and finished his working career operating his own dump truck and backhoe for local construction companies.
He was a long time member of the NB Antique Auto car club and reveled in that connection with other car enthusiasts along with restoring his own antique cars over many years
